Good Faith Estimate
Last updated: August 1, 2026.
People who are uninsured or choose not to use insurance may have the right to receive a good faith estimate of expected charges for scheduled or requested health care services.
What it includes
The estimate describes known expected charges for items and services Leal Medical Center reasonably expects to provide. It is an estimate, and final charges may change if the care plan changes or additional services become necessary.
How to request one
Ask when scheduling a service or call (305) 246-1265. We may need information about the requested service, expected date, provider, and self-pay status.
If the bill is substantially higher
Federal law may provide a dispute process when an eligible bill is substantially higher than the estimate. Keep a copy of the estimate and contact the center or the federal No Surprises Help Desk for current options.
